BAYSICS zinc oxide sunscreen

The brand is called “Baysics”, playing off the word “bay” while also commenting on the need for basic ingredients. Baysics is a Zince Oxide mineral based sunscreen brand. Zinc Oxide protects against UVA and UVB rays, works immediately after application, does not cause skin irritation, and is reef safe. Chemicals such as oxybenzone are found in most common sunscreen brands. These chemicals wash off in the ocean and are absorbed by coral. This disrupts the corals growth cycle and can eventually lead to bleaching. Oxybenzone can also be an irritant to the skin and cause break outs. It does not protect against UVA rays. Each level of SPF has slightly different colors at the top of the box, representing where the sun would be in the sky. For example, SPF 15 has a yellow fade because most people like to tan mid day. I also included a gradient in my coral illustration to keep the box cohesive.
