The idea for this app came to me while my roommate and I were stuck behind a train on the way to our exams. This has happened to me and a number of others on many occasions in Columbia, which is why I know this app would be very beneficial.  

 

The first screen is the welcome screen where you type in your city. Next you will be taken to the home-screen where all your saved train routes will appear. If there is a saved railroad crossing in progress it will pop up on your screen, as well as give you updates on its location. The middle icon on the menu bar will take you to the map feature, where you can enter any trip quickly and it will tell you whether there is a current conflict. Lastly, the final icon takes you to the “routes” feature, where you can search a specific date and look through the train schedules. You can choose to add any route to your home screen. Tracks can be used in cities like Columbia, Atlanta, Kansas City, and other railway hubs ,making sure you make it to your final destination on time.
